Pinterest Philosopher

I hinted at a new series this past Thursday, while participating in Mama Kat's writing workshop. Here it is! Every Sunday, I will scour Pinterest for a quote that speaks to me or reminds me of something. I will post it here. Sometimes, I will write more about it or talk about something it reminds me of I've seen. Other times, I may just share the quote. I hope you enjoy the new series! I have enjoyed it already, while looking through tons of quotes this morning.

What I want to talk about mostly with this quote is "Always remember you are ... twice as beautiful as you'd ever imagined." I have seen many times on television shows where they have a line of ladies ranging in size. They ask a few people from the audience to place themselves in the line, where they believe they belong. The person always thinks they are bigger than they truly are when comparing themselves to others.

Why do we put ourselves down? Why do we think we have to plaster tons of makeup on our faces or only look pretty while wearing our best outfit? I say embrace yourself!

If you haven't seen this video, you should really watch it. Watch how the women describe what they see in the mirror compared to what someone else who sees them describes. It is inspiring to see yourself in a better light.

I challenge you to not put yourself down at all for one whole day.
